Ben De Cordova is a National and International award winner. Being part of The United States Men and Woman Hair Olympics Team. U.S America’s Cup, National Hair Stylists Of the Year, National Barber of the Year, Artistic Hair Designer of the Year, 25 First Place Awards in both Men and Women. Two years running of This Years Best Salon in Tampa Bay.

From Paul Mitchell himself, Ryan O’Neil, Nico Minardos, Michael Blodgett, Tom Lester, Alvy Moore, William Lear, Ricardo Montalban, Mke Henry, Playboy 1960-1970, Miss Soviet Union, Miss Teenage America, Miss America, and Numerous local news casters.
What inspires you?
Ben De Cordova- What inspires me..is the hunger I have for the arts.I’m so drawn to the shape and structure
of buildings.How they hold up, what they represent.Painting,colors,textures the list goes on.
Portia De Cordova- Fashion and horror films!! Blood,guts,bruises! Colors and painting.Michael’s Craft store!
Do any of your team members have a person that you idolize, or someone who inspires you in the hair, makeup, salon or general beauty industry?
Ben De Cordova- My biggest idol is Michael Angelo! Thomas Bova.
Portia De Cordova- In hair my dad.In make-up Joe Blasco
Chris De Cordova- English-My dad.
Why do you think your team should be one of the top 10 salons to compete in Las Vegas this fall?
This is an amazing once in a life time experience. As a family and as a team we are ready to show what we can do!We have such a unique talent and love for this industry!
What does winning the competition mean to your salon? Or to your individual members?
The experience along the way! And having such a great honor in being able to compete against so many other talented salon teams in the United States.
